If you’re like me, and have a little bit of wanderlust in your soul, then getting married somewhere beautiful and far away is the dream. My love of destination wedding photography can be traced back to my childhood, where I spent half of my year travelling the world, photographing the landscapes. As a destination wedding photographer, I have a strong pull to explore new places and create art within the world; my extensive knowledge of light and environmental landscape can be seen extensively in my work.
Because I devote my time exclusively to weddings, I photograph up to 15 weddings a year on a first-come first-served basis to ensure that my creative brain is fresh and ready for each wedding. Destination weddings are very special to me, the sense of adventure and excitement of family and friends exploring a new area makes a destination wedding exciting. Planning your destination wedding takes a lot of time and effort, and on your big day you will want to be authentic and enjoy the moment, to do that you will need a destination wedding photographer who knows how to capture the moments that matter, and show the truth of the story. Hiring a photographer who’s style you love, and whom you trust, is even more important when you plan a destination wedding, because you, your family, and friends are investing in a holiday to see you marry your loved one in unfamiliar surroundings, and everybody waiting back home will want to experience the excitement of your wedding through these photos.

Your wedding photographs are one of the most important parts of your wedding, since they are the final product of your wedding, the thing you will treasure for the rest of your lives, and the only physical way to remember what happened on the biggest day of your life. Hiring a destination wedding photographer is one of the most important parts in planning your wedding. The styling, venue, decor, dress, and cake may all be beautiful, but it’s the thoughtful composition, lighting, and skillful work of your wedding photography that will mould your memories as you look back upon those pictures for years to come.
Many destination wedding venues will include a photographer in their package – but it’s important to recognise that these workers are often not professional photographers, and rather someone with a nice camera from their employment. If you hire an unknown photographer from your wedding venue, the result may only end up more expensive, but it will be much riskier as you may receive poor work or miss photographs.
My previous clients have decided against hiring a foreign photographer in the employment of the venue for many reasons, such as: It’s hard to coordinate and speak to the photographer who is abroad, even discussing style and mandatory photos; there is no way to meet beforehand to become more comfortable with eachother or gain a better

understanding of your values; the ‘photographer’ was actually just a member of the waiting staff or the wedding co-ordinator themselves, and the photos were poorly lit and badly composed.
Choosing a destination wedding photographer specialist who has experience in the field, and knows the ins and outs of destination photography is vital. I’ve been photographing destination weddings for the past 6 years, and in that time I have developed indespensible experience and positioned myself as a specialist in the field, who has won awards and is highly sought after across the UK.
Some of my favourite weddings have been in Iceland at Skogagoss Falls, on the beach in Ibiza, hidden in a villa within Italy in the Tuscany countryside, in the city amongst the history of Venice in Italy, and in quaint religious celebrations in the South of France. Whether you’re planning a romantic elopement or wedding in the saccarine coast of Santorini in Greece, the Antalya coast of Turkey, or on a tiny Caribbean island like Grenada, you can trust that I am a photographer with the experience and skill to capture the memories you will treasure.

When I approach your wedding, I do so with compassion and my entire creative heart within it. I am discreet and as quiet as can be, capturing the details, hugs, smiles, and tears from a distance to ensure as best a documentary approach as the day will allow. My unique approach to destination wedding photography has taken me across the world, winning multiple awards and had my work featured in magazines and on websites. By hiring me, you can trust you have found a photographer with the unique skill to capture your wedding the way you will love to to remember it. |
