Claire and Keir’s wedding was an absolutely amazing celebration. Together we managed to create (what I think) are some absolutely beautiful, romantic images that I hope they will treasure forever. They did such an amazing job planning and decorating Hilltop Country House that I think a huge credit for some of the lovely photographs really goes to them, for making such a beautiful scene. They were both ever present in their day, and you can see for yourself below that they and their guests were filled with emotions. I’m so happy to finally be able to share these images!
Including it’s beautiful bridal suite, 17th-century-built Hilltop has four en-suite rooms for couples to use – and staying in them on the night of your wedding is included in their prices! In fact, we begun our day with bridal prep in this beautiful suite, amongst Claire’s family, girl friends and bridesmaids!
Alas, time moves fast when you are having fun, and so quickly it seemed to go before we were ready to begin the big event!
There was a little debate about whether the weather would hold for an outdoor ceremony, like these guys wanted. There was some strong consideration as to moving the whole thing indoors (into the beautiful Gazebo setup), due to possible rain…
But fate was kind, and Claire and Kier were married by the steps at the entrance to the house! Making for a beautifully alternative ceremony seating arrangement!
And naturally, the day progressed with ease. They took the time to greet their guests, and thank them in turn with an informal receiving line.
Before we completed the obligatory group shots…
And then we got to the really fun part. The couple’s session. A fun 20 minutes where we can go for a walk, have a little laugh and relax for the first time since you were surrounded by 100 people and got married! Totally a great part of the day to take a step back and breathe, and at the same time – you’re getting your couple’s portraits taken!
Before being ambushed by confetti…
I’m so into wedding decor at the moment. There are some amazing ideas that I get to have a look through at these weddings. For instance, Clair and Kier’s amazing use of DIY below!
People tend to forget about the speech shots, but these are some of my favourite moments. It’s the time of the day everyone is settled. People really begin to relax, have a drink, and laugh along as they relive funny stories and sweet sentiments written specially for the bride and groom.
To be honest, I found the decor in the marquee absolutely captivating. The use of foliage and white drapery complimented each other perfectly.
Needless to say, when the reception got into full swing, everyone had a whale of a time. I was personally particularly impressed when the staff brought out a huuuuge dish and started making a gigantic paella for the guests! That was certainly a new experience. Games of football, long chats and happy memories alike all made this wedding an unforgettable day for Claire and Kier.
They opted not to have the “traditional” first dance, but their wedding cake was a dream. Look at those details… real flowers, perfectly arranged on a cake that matches their decor perfectly. I love these happy photographs of the couple cutting the cake.
Trying to sum up this wedding at hilltop country house is a really hard task. A perfect day, would be my first thought. The weather was beautiful, the style and decorations looked stunning, Claire and Kier looked flawless, the food was TODIEFOR, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was absolutely breathtaking. Now I’m so happy I got to share in this day and support Claire and Kier in their perfect wedding day.
