Would you go entirely Black and White for your wedding photography?

May 19 2017 Leave a Comment

Black and White Wedding Photography: Are you like me, totally in love with black and white photos? Do you love a challenge or to try new things? Are you interested in a little wedding discount?! Here’s my dare: book me to photograph your wedding ENTIRELY in black and white, and I’ll give you 50% off my full day package!

I believe there is something beautifully timeless about black and white images. It freezes a moment and presents it like a memory played back in your mind. Some people may think that shooting a wedding entirely in black and white means you miss out on parts of the image – and it would feel less natural. Because the world we see is in colour. I personally disagree. The world without colour forces you to look at a photograph differently.  I believe it allows us to see past the immediate aesthetics and wild colours of an image – and look into it’s very soul. With a black and white image, you are privy to the deeper emotions of a photograph and can focus on the main subject and the story behind it. The light will vary, and become much more dramatic, emphasised by this lack of colour. It may be simpler in colour, but I believe it is much deeper in feeling.

Clients, children, amateurs and professionals alike all share a budding affection for the raw beauty behind a black and white image. Freeze the moment in light and emotion, save them authentically in time through this time old method. Do you love black and white as much as I do? Come on, take a chance, and have your wedding photographed entirely in black and white. I promise, it’s something your guests and family will never forget!
