Weddings are an awful lot of fun, aren’t they? And weddings can be so different, depending on their season. Summer weddings are full of bright light and greenery, Winter is cold and misty and so intense, Spring fills the image with flowers and blossom… and Autumn? Autumn is filled with magic! Pumpkins, spices, rustic designs and the feeling of golden leaves amongst nights cuddled up together. Sam and Tom’s barn wedding / country pub wedding, hidden away in the countryside of Kent, was absolutely encompassed with autumn feels – pumpkins of every colour, pallet DIY signs and beautiful old wooden beams. Stunning small detail touches amongst the old-fashioned feel to the building left for a really warm, happy wedding.
We actually began the day at their home, amongst family and friends, where Sam anxiously prepared for the day…
Her bridesmaids and family were keen and kind as they helped her get ready. Her small details, such as jewellery, shoes and flowers all matched her late autumnal feel for the wedding.
And when her father saw her… well, the look on his face says everything!
We soon left, ready for the big event, in a stunning car from Quirky Wedding Cars – and arrived at the plough. Nerves were high, but the venue looked stunning!
Arriving at The Plough at Leigh, I took a small chance to look around the building and capture the careful details of their day and their barn wedding / country pub wedding reception.
As you can no doubt see, the decoration were absolutely stunning and I adore the use of pumpkins, pine cones and wood amongst their wedding signs.. As the ceremony begun, Tom’s face was filled with happiness.
Just take a look at the below photos of their barn wedding/country pub wedding ceremony and you’ll see…
Sealed with a kiss, the new bride and groom and I took a little walk to ourselves outside of the barn/country pub wedding, to capture some beautiful shots – and give them a moment to speak to each other and say “we’re married!”
And naturally, as the day progressed it was time for the wedding breakfast, and for the glorious speeches! The decor was faithfully as stunning as it had been all day, incorporating natural themes like pine cones, wood, flowers and fairy lights/candles.
As you can see, the speeches were ones to remember! Embarrassing photographs were definitely presented and the entire room was in fits of laughter.
Cake and celebrations = everybody happy! With the sound of an awesome band (Marylebone Jelly) and the happy new couple, the wedding reception extended long into the night!
