We left in taxis for the ceremony at about 1:30, where we met up with the rest of Ilaria and Alex’s guests. The ceremony at her local Registry Office began at 2, Ilaria’s family gave her away in a touching moment to her groom. A short but sweet ceremony, Alex took time out in the middle to read a short piece that he had written just for Ilaria. There was not a dry eye in the room, it’s rare you get to witness such pure, true love!
We took a few group shots in the gardens before we all proceeded to Danson Stables. Danson Stables is a large pub converted in a historic 18th-century stables building with a beautiful courtyard and a secret back garden, featuring some beautiful plant life. The building itself is grade 2 star listed and was built in the 1800s – and you can tell too! It has that beautifully “antique” feel as you go about it’s interior. It was originally a stable block belonging to the mansion house in Danson Park. Here we toasted with strawberries and champagne and then begun a simple wedding breakfast. Once the wedding breakfast was over, we took the opportunity to walk about the English Garden and take some beautiful couple shots.
After that, the evening party got underway and all the guests began to dance… there are certainly some amusing shots of this! I wish Ilaria and Alex every happiness.. I don’t know any couple more deserving and true than them! I hope you love the photographs as I had a wonderful time working on their Bexley Kent wedding photography.
